Honest limits — read before buying
This is a GSM/GPRS device. It needs a mobile SIM with a data plan to report position, and no SIM is included. The supplier's listing doesn't mention this at all, and it's the single most important thing to know: without a SIM and an active plan, the tracker will not work. Check that your network supports 2G/GPRS in your country before ordering — several networks have switched it off.
The supplier states a battery life of 100,000 hours — that's over eleven years, which is not credible. We're flagging it rather than repeating it. Real battery life on live GPS tracking is typically measured in days. We can't give you a reliable figure.
A tracker tells you where the collar is. If the collar comes off, so does the tracker — it does not replace a microchip.
GPS accuracy degrades indoors, in dense cities and under heavy tree cover.
